(...) “Gentian by Jove!”
Maigret was thrilled to unwittingly find what he had been looking for for a quarter of an hour. Ever since he had left the Liberty Bar, he had stubbornly been trying to find a definition that encapsulated its essence and was not merely limited to its picturesque aspect. But now he had found it! He had just remembered something his friend had said to him while offering him an aperitif one day.

“What’s that, a new fashion?” (...)

Genziana Boroni is distilled from gentian roots fermented with a precise formula used for over 150 years by the Distilleria Boroni
and which preserves the medicinal properties of the root intact. The gentian roots are harvested at altitudes of over 2000 metres on the mountains of the Adamello Brenta Park, gathered in jute sacks and carried down into the valley with resolve and passion by our people. The secrets for maintaining the flavour and properties of gentian lie in the completely manual processes used to prepare and ferment the roots. Genziana Boroni is produced with the original wood-fired water bath alembic still. Alcohol content: 43% Characteristics: a colourless spirit with a brilliance in the glass, which intensely expresses the typical aromas of the original root, elegantly sustained on a pleasantly tingling breeze of alcohol. Dry, enveloping, perfectly balanced and very persistent on the palate, with a pleasantly distinctive, bitterish and delicately spicy finish. Excellent at the end of a meal, but also as a companion for a good read. Serve at 12°C, in small tulip shaped glasses. contents: lt. 0,50 - 0,20 - 0,10 Ecco il codice Giuseppe Palmieri Tigulliovino - degustazione Osteria francescana - Massimo Bottura Osteria Francescana - Massimo Bottura Osteria Francescana - Massimo Bottura Beppe Palmieri - leifoodie |
